Medical Messenger Uses KODAK Capture Pro Software to Standardize Paper-to-Digital Conversion Process for Electronic Medical Records

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Aug. 24, 2010) —Medical Messenger, an Independent Software Vendor (ISV)  working with Kodak, helps medical practices transition from paper to electronic medical records (EMR). Both companies have collaborated to combine Medical Messenger’s ASTRALJET V4.0 EMR and Practice Management (PM) Software with KODAK Capture Pro Software to establish an affordable, easy-to-use, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application. This integrated solution helps physicians’ offices and other small practices more easily transition their paper-based files into a simple digital workflow, utilizing Medical Messenger’s applications software along with Kodak’s document imaging solutions.

ASTRALJET V4.0 EMR/PM Software utilizes and is tightly integrated with KODAK Capture Pro Software to digitally capture information from paper records, charts and files for use within Medical Messenger’s digital platform. This solution will enable medical professionals to work toward more efficient practices for managing their medical records. Medical Messenger’s software is easy to use, and offers a combined EMR/PM Solution that helps to address compliance needs for medical practices.

“Creating an effective solution for electronic medical records requires more than simply choosing software off the shelf from some discount warehouse,” said Mike Hahl, Product Manager, Medical Messenger. “Professionals and doctors need to be comfortable with these critical decisions. Doctors need experienced providers who can help obtain the right solution, even assisting and providing consulting services for planning the entire migration from a paper to a digital operation.”

Medical Messenger will use a network of resellers to help smaller practices plan and execute the move from paper-based workflow to electronic medical records and digitally based information.

“Kodak’s proven experience in delivering document imaging results enables our teams to readily assist with the digital conversion process required for EMR/EHR systems,” said Jody Miller, Business Development Director, Worldwide Healthcare Solutions, KODAK Solutions for Business. “Medical Messenger’s work with document imaging healthcare resellers will ensure that medical practices receive adequate support and expertise required to meet the mandates of new regulations in addition to physicians’ demands.”

KODAK Products are backed by KODAK Service and Support. KODAK is a leading multi-vendor integrated services provider, delivering consulting, installation, maintenance and support.
