Millennia Group’s “Scan Squad” Uses KODAK Scanners to Quickly Capture and Digitize High Volumes of Critical Business Documents


Rochester, NY (August 27, 2008) - When companies need their information organized and digitized immediately to meet demands created by regulations, disaster recovery plans and the explosive growth of information, a specialized team from Millennia Group called the Scan Squad is dispatched to offer businesses onsite assistance and accurate document conversion using KODAK Scanners.

The Scan Squad is a mobile scanning team that travels to customer sites, working closely with companies to capture and manage essential documentation—sometimes working through the night, so as not to interrupt the flow of the regular work day.

The Scan Squad assists businesses with critical business needs, such as digital document conversion, compliance audits and site relocation. The team ships KODAK i1420 Scanners to customer sites, working side by side with company staff to upload information onto a Web portal. This unique tool provides customers with up to the minute status of their document conversion projects, and allows for 24/7 document tracking and access.

“In the case of a major national retail client, the retailer came to us with an entire portfolio of documents that was estimated at 7 million pages,” said Cipriano. “With the help of our Scan Squad, a Web site was built for 24/7 customer access. The retailer found that they could eventually pull documents even faster than they could from their own file room.”
Reseller Inception Technologies specified and integrated a document capture solution for Millennia Group’s Scan Squad, which included production and desktop document scanners running Kofax Ascent Capture software. The Scan Squad standardized on KODAK Scanners because of the ease of use, low maintenance, and portfolio depth that enabled the team to find the right scanner for each of its specific applications.

“Working with Kodak, the Millennia Group established a standardized system that allows their Scan Squad to scan, capture and manage critical information onsite, offsite or a combination of both,” said Cipriano. “Kodak’s extensive portfolio gives our Scan Squad access to equipment that can be shipped onsite, as well as products small enough to bring on the plane when the team travels, such as the i1220.”

When offsite document management solutions require a company to ship information to the New York or Chicago bureaus, the Scan Squad uses the KODAK i640 Scanners to capture and process the digital images.
