Mitch Schwartz from Densigraphix is Elected as Vice-Chairman on ASTM International Committee
Montreal, QC (CANADA) – Densigraphix Kopi Inc., today, is pleased to announce that Mitch Schwartz, Director of Research & Development and Quality Control, was elected Vice-Chairman on the ASTM International Committee F.05 Business Imaging Products. The other elected officers include Raymond Kifer as Chairman, Patricia Judge as Secretary and Thomas Schank as Membership Secretary. They will serve their term from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2009.
“I am very happy to have been elected,” comments Mitch Schwartz. “With more than 35 years in this industry, stepping up to the plate, as I see it, is not an option. I chose to involve myself because there was and still is, an OEM members only club. We need to create simple, easy-to-use, understand-and-implement testing procedures so that manufacturers, resellers and end users can see for themselves what works and what doesn't work. To quote a pretty decent TV show, ‘the truth is out there’.” We need current members to become more active and bring their ideas to the table.”
“We are proud to have such an experienced person on our staff.” states John Brohman, President. He continues, “Mitch brings Densigraphix valuable exposure in our industry.”
Schwartz has been a member of ASTM International Committee F.05 Business Imaging Products for over eight years and as a voting member for over five years. He is also Sub-Committee Chairman for ASTM F05.03 Research; F05.01 Nomenclature and Definitions; F05.04 Electrostatic Imaging Products and F05.90 Executive Committee. This is his first term as an elected officer on the F.05 Business Imaging Products Committee as Vice-Chairman.
He is also an information member for the technical advisory committee of the CGSB (Canadian Goods and Services Board). In his current position at Densigraphix Kopi Inc., he is responsible for quality assurance.
