Modern Office Methods Grows Through Acquisitions
CINCINNATI, OH (Feb. 8, 2011) – Modern Office Methods, Inc. (MOM), a Cincinnati-based office equipment dealer and document management specialist, has expanded its sales force and market reach through the acquisitions of two former Xerox office equipment sales agents. The purchases of Document Solutions, LLC, and Document Solutions of Ohio (no affiliation) expand MOM’s presence in Central and Southwest Ohio, bringing MOM’s total locations to twelve.
“We’ve built a solid business in Southwest and Central Ohio over the last 53 years, and we’re using this foundation as a platform for growth,” said Kevin McCarthy, president of MOM. “These acquisitions expand our highly tenured sales force and deepen community connections and professional networks in every market in which we do business. The added expertise also will present new opportunities in a number of vertical market segments including print production, a sector we had not traditionally targeted.”
With an additional 50 associates – bringing total employment to more than 220 – and eight new locations, MOM is one of the largest document management specialists in Ohio. McCarthy anticipates additional growth for the company as new positions and responsibilities result from the acquisitions.
