MWA Intelligence Acquires Imaging Portals
Scottsdale, AZ — MWA Intelligence, Inc. (MWAI), a leading provider of Intelligent Service, Workforce and Assets management solutions, announced the acquisition of Imaging Portals, Inc., a company with technologies tailored around automated meter collection and device status monitoring.
With the acquisition of IPI, it is clear that MWA Intelligence will broaden its already formidable Intelligent Assets solution suite. This is an exciting opportunity that will launch best-of-breed asset management solutions for the office equipment industry and others to come. Leading-edge wireless, network and software solutions not only collect real-time, business-critical data such as cost-per-copy information automatically, accurately and in a timely manner for customer billing, but allows for intelligent asset management and remote device diagnostics. Information such as device performance, location, average monthly volumes, service call history, parts and consumables usage and more are invaluable information for office equipment dealers to run a more efficient and profitable organization. The combination of both companies’ technologies not only supports any make or model of the millions of copier/printer devices at customer sites, but reintroduces the need to deliver full, end-to-end integration of company’s business processes and its ERP/CRM and other systems. Automated meter reading without the need for human intervention is mandatory in today’s marketplace to deliver better customer service while driving cost out of the business.
“We are extremely pleased with the acquisition of Imaging Portals, Inc,” said Michael T. Stramaglio, President and CEO, MWA Intelligence, Inc. ”We believe that there is a tremendous opportunity for our companies’ intelligent and remote device/asset management solutions in the multi-billion dollar M2M market. We are focused on delivering the best enterprise solution suite for our industry. The IPI purchase is the second major step forward in a strategic plan that includes additional investments in our internal and external growth as we look for a greater foothold in the United States, Europe and Japan. It is our corporate objective to aggressively pursue solutions that support and improve the efficiency of service personnel and surrounding assets, and deliver these solutions with world-class customer service.”
As the office equipment industry continues to evolve, companies are looking for “beyond the box” applications to help improve productivity, generate additional incremental revenue and drive profit to the bottom-line. Imaging Portals is an engineering company that made the commitment 5 years ago to deliver solutions to the market that allow for profitable growth.
"Our vision for Imaging Portals always has been to develop solutions that revolutionize the market,” said Worth Probst, President and CEO of Imaging Portals, Inc., We cannot think of any better platform than MWA Intelligence to deliver upon this promise.”
