MWA Intelligence and Baracoda Join Forces to Streamline Delivery of Service
Scottsdale, AZ – MWA Intelligence, Inc. (MWAi), a leader in remote asset management tools and mobile workforce automation systems and services, has partnered with Baracoda, Inc. to enhance barcode scanning functionality for users of its Intelligent Workforce module. Baracoda is an industry leader in the creation of Bluetooth-enabled barcode scanners, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) readers and advanced application program interfaces.
“MWAi’s goal is to provide the tools that field employees need to perform at their utmost while delivering world-class customer service,” said Michael Stramaglio, President and CEO of MWA Intelligence. “Barcode and RFID scanning devices are great examples of how companies can leverage technologies to increase the effectiveness of their daily operations, and focus on what is the most important – the customer.”
Wireless, compact and easy-to-use barcode scanners, such as the Baracoda RoadRunners (BRR-L), are becoming increasingly prevalent in the hands of mobile employees providing service for office equipment and utilities companies, resulting in expedited customer service, better-informed decision-making and improved customer satisfaction. A large number of MWAi customers currently take advantage of barcode scanning functionality for increased speed, data accuracy and integrity in logging vital service ticket data – arrival times, meters, parts and devices monitored, and more.
MWA Intelligence users will now be able to utilize barcode scanning to further streamline service call processes. Technicians/field workers can scan on arrival and at departure to open and close calls. They can also scan parts for usage, utilize barcodes to quickly order new parts and supplies, manage car stock inventory, conduct inventory reconciliation, and more. Information captured through these applications is transferred into the back-office Intelligent Service module, where service managers, dispatchers and help desk employees can review, analyze, make decisions and provide reports on an as-needed basis. In addition, barcode or RFID data can be easily transported to industry-standard back-end ERP/CRM/CIS systems for integrated inventory and supply chain management.
“Baracoda and MWA Intelligence both understand the value of greater customer satisfaction in a competitive environment,” said Alexandre Guillot, Managing Director of Baracoda, Inc. “The need to automate manual business processes, provide real-time access to mission-critical data and measure performance on a regular basis is critical to a successful service organization. Our wireless data capture solutions for mobile applications and their respective interfaces offer the flexibility to partner with solution providers like MWAi to respond to customer needs.”
