MWA Intelligence and Samsung Create Strategic Partnership
SCOTTSDALE, AZ. (February 20, 2008) – MWA Intelligence, Inc. (MWAi), a leader in enterprise-class M2M (machine-to-machine) and M2P (machine-to-people) solutions and services, today announced it will enable Samsung laser printing devices with remote monitoring capabilities to drive greater reseller profitability and end-user satisfaction. MWAi’s Intelligent Device Management™ (IDM) technology will soon be incorporated into Samsung’s line-up of high-speed multifunction black-and-white and color devices for the business-to-business and dealer market.
This enhanced embedded IDM (eIDM) offering is the result of a strategic relationship between Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and MWAi, designed to maximize synergies between the world’s second largest laser printer engine manufacturer and the world’s leading innovator in the field of remote asset management and mobile workforce automation solutions and services. The companies are committed to developing a strategic relationship primarily focused on embedded solutions and driven by customer and market demand.
Samsung is launching an exciting array of MFPs designed to establish a new presence in the conventional Copier & Reseller channel. A comprehensive engineering overview between the two companies will determine the most effective means to IDM-enabled upcoming MFP introductions, as well as the extent of IDM features to incorporate into each device.
IDM technology allows companies to remotely monitor fleets of imaging devices and assimilate critical billing, diagnostic, maintenance, service and usage information directly into a variety of customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. With a range of software and hardware options available for transmitting information in any one of a multitude of communication methods, IDM solutions are created to perform any customer environment. In addition to being able to provide better levels of customer service to their clients, dealers and service providers benefit from streamlined information exchange and immediate notification of device conditions, expediting the resolution of issues that disrupt end-user workflows.
“Partnering with MWAi is an important step toward delivering valued added solutions to our dealer channel partners and their customers,” said Jay Shears, Director of Marketing, Samsung Electronics. “Accurate meter reading, billing and service information are business critical applications in today’s print management business environment. Robust remote asset management solutions are an integral part of Samsungs solution set and MWAi represents one of the industries best in class solution suites.”
