MWA Intelligence, Inc. Acquires Tech Raptor and Service On-The-Go from ECI2!
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — January 7, 2008 – MWA Intelligence, Inc. (MWAi), a leader in remote asset management tools and mobile workforce automation systems and services, today announced it has reached an agreement with ECI2 to acquire the rights to two of the company’s wireless service applications. The deal includes the transfer of ownership to MWAi a host of valuable intellectual property such as OMD Corporation’s Service On-The-Go and La Crosse Management Systems’ Tech Raptor.
“This strategic move is just one of the latest steps MWAi has taken to deliver office equipment dealers and their customers the products and services required to be both productive and profitable in a growingly complex digital business world,” said Michael T. Stramaglio, CEO and President of MWA Intelligence, Inc. “In addition, we believe the partnership with ECI2 secures our place as the leading source for machine-to-machine (M2M) or machine-to-people (M2P) solutions worldwide and creates the much-needed clarity for the marketplace.”
While ECI2 will continue to sharpen its focus on core business activities such as providing superior back-end ERP/CRM solutions, MWAi will utilize the agreement to achieve its goal of providing the best M2M and M2P systems and services for the office equipment industry. Now, along with almost two decades of market-specific experience, MWAi holds a tremendous competitive advantage in its ever-expanding line-up of systems, software and service capabilities.
“Our work with ECI2 demonstrates the significant benefits that can be born from strong partnerships…that of value-added solutions for our marketplace built on the strengths and expertise of each company,” continued Stramaglio. “Best of all, the office equipment dealers will have the opportunity to acquire more refined and more powerful solutions, as well as world-class support from both our organizations moving forward.”
Not only does the acquisition bolster the MWAi’s solutions offering, it dovetails nicely into the prior release of MWAi’s Intelligent Service v.4.1, one of the most significant product launches in MWA Intelligence history. This latest version of Intelligent Service completes the full M2M/M2P enterprise solution by managing all assets, people and systems. Leveraging the integration of Intelligent Device Management™ (IDM) and the host ERP/CRM/CIS system, equipment configuration and interface information can be set up, synchronized and utilized to enable automatic publication of up-to-date meter, maintenance codes, service alerts and consumable reading information.
“The idea behind this agreement was to allow ECI2 and MWAi to concentrate our
collective energies and expertise on the solutions that each of us develops,
delivers and maintains the best,” said Don Weary, CEO Office Technology
Division, ECI2. “Not only will our companies benefit greatly from the new
arrangement, but there is no doubt that the dealers who choose to work with our
organizations will experience a level of value-add that was unavailable in the
M2M marketplace in the past."
