MWA Intelligence, Inc. and PCS Enter Technology Partnership

Scottsdale, AZ - MWA Intelligence, Inc. (MWAI), a leading provider of remote asset management tools and mobile workforce automation services, today entered into a technology partnership with PCS Print Control Software. Moving forward, the two companies will utilize MWAI’s Intelligent Asset and Intelligent Service modules in combination with PCS’ ROI Print Manager behavior modification software to help office equipment dealerships thoroughly understand and efficiently respond to the enterprise-wide printing needs of their customers.

The new MWAI/PCS partnership will leverage a variety of monitoring and communication software and tools to gather business-critical information from local and networked multi-functional copier/printers. In doing so, imaging dealers will know who is printing what documents to which devices, enabling re-deployment of existing technology, upgrade opportunities, centralized document production, proactive service and remote consumables management.

“By creating the most cost-effective and productive print environment for the customer, the office equipment dealer is also creating competitive differentiation and client loyalty,” said Michael T. Stramaglio, President and CEO, MWA Intelligence, Inc. “In turn, MWA Intelligence will continue to develop and acquire a broader range of solutions, as well as partner with domestic and international organizations, to create an expanded set of products and services that drive our industry to new levels of performance.”

ROI Print Manager behavior modification software helps businesses manage employee print activity within the guidelines of an optimal document management and production strategy. Customized routing rules automatically modify end user “print behavior” to contain output costs and balance workloads across the enterprise, all without disrupting productivity levels. Ongoing usage tracking and reporting also allows for adjustments as a company’s document strategy evolves in line with its broader business objectives.

"ROI Print Manager and MWA Intelligence will provide a blueprint for building greater cost-efficiency and productivity on an ongoing basis,” said Shane Hannan, Director of Sales, PCS Print Control Software. “Now our customers will be able to identify printing abuse, control expenses, maximize existing investments, and apply greater management to their printer fleet and related supplies…even as their businesses evolve over time.”

Guided by actual data, IT departments can develop and implement an enterprise-wide print management and cost-containment strategy that will encourage — or even compel — print jobs to be sent to the most cost-effective and efficient network printers. For example, using the least-cost print capability and pre-defined criteria, ROI Print Manager reviews each print job request to ensure that it is automatically sent to the most appropriate, cost-effective and efficient network printer.
