New Dealer Group Looking to Expand

The year-old Select Dealer Group has a national membership comprised of leading office products and service dealers with the common goal of benchmarking the industry as well as sharing their industry’s best practices.

“Within the industry, there was a need for a national organization to meet and brainstorm to better each company and to provide exceptional customer service to clients in this ever changing trade,” said Ray Belanger, CEO of Rockland-based Bay Copy and chairman of the Membership Committee.

The group, which started with 10 founding members last year, currently consists of 32 members with a goal to grow to 50 dealers nationally. According to Belanger, “It is important to have a large member base, to continue to network and learn from one another.” Belanger’s role will be to attract new members to the growing organization. He is well known within the industry, serving on a number of industry councils and national trade organizations. Additionally, he has authored a number of articles in national publications on topics relating to the office products and digital office equipment industry.

The Select Dealer Group is affiliated with BTA (Business Technology Association) of Kansas City. BTA is a trade organization that is supporting The Select Dealer Group with administrative functions. To date, the group has held meetings in Denver, Dallas and Minnesota with a future meeting planned for Las Vegas.

Currently group is giving priority consideration to any dealers in the 15 mile-plus range covering the major markets listed below:

New York, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, Kansas City, New Orleans, Orlando, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Charlotte.
