New Module: DocuWare COLD/READ 5.1
DocuWare’s new version 5.1 of their COLD/READ module converts data from accounting/business applications into tamper-free TIFFs. Spool Files can be separated into individual documents and integrated into workflows. Many companies output large quantities of records and journals with printers. The data that is created from this flow of printed information – so-called Spool Files – can be automatically archived in DocuWare via COLD (Computer Output on Laserdisk). DocuWare COLD/READ 5.1 is a module that converts data from Spool Files not only into a special DocuWare format, but as an option, into TIFFs. The DocuWare Integrated Document Management System then separates the spool files into individual documents and captures index information according to freely definable logic. Annotations and electronic stamps may be added at any time to documents filed as TIFFs. This means that mass records can be integrated in workflows in addition to being securely stored alongside similar documents, PC files, e-mail and other records right in one central document pool.
