Oki Data Americas Doubles Share of Color Page Printer Market
Oki Data Americas, Inc. announced that it remains the fastest growing color page printer company, according to data from industry tracker The NPD Group, Inc.1.
Comparing January-November data for 2004 to the same period in 2003, Oki Data’s market share more than doubled, growing from 3.8 percent to 7.7 percent. With robust growth during that time, Oki Data advanced to the No. 3 spot among all color brands, up from a previous ranking of No. 4. Oki Data now ranks behind industry giants Hewlett-Packard and Xerox, respectively, based on three-month rolling average of shipments.
The overall U.S color page printer market grew by 34 percent during the same period. In actual unit growth, Oki data grew by more than 170 percent .
