Optical Image Technology Release Offers Powerful Enterprise Solution for Business
State College, PA (March 2009) - Optical Image Technology (OIT) announces the release of version 10 of DocFinity document management, imaging, and business process management software. The entire product line has been redesigned and built from the ground up based on the latest and most powerful technologies available in the marketplace.
The release is built around a J2EE server, the industry standard for enterprise-class, next-generation web applications. Centralized administration offers ease of installation and administration; a modern, intuitive GUI interface allows customizable workspaces that maximize productivity. The product is scalable, reliable, secure, and easy to maintain.
The product suite includes enterprise-class business process management (BPM) and workflow tools with unprecedented power and speed, as well as products for data capture, email management, and records management. The integrated suite is fully underwritten in extensive web services that are included with the core DocFinity product as well as a URL API and “zero programming” tools. This provides several options for users to integrate DocFinity into their current line-of-business applications, websites, and portals. The new release supports Windows, Red Hat Linux, SUSE Linux, and z/Linux operating systems as well as MS SQL; Oracle; DB2 for Linux, Unix and Windows; and DB2 express-C databases.
“The new release of DocFinity delivers a business solution built on cutting-edge technology and innovation. The focus is on efficiency gains, process improvement, and faster solution deployment. System support and administration times are drastically reduced, while delivering anywhere, anytime access to real-time data is significantly enhanced. We have invested heavily into delivering a product line that will generate faster ROI, drive eco-friendly growth, and enhance and simplify the business process environment. We are excited about the future, and the future is now!” - Ron Prichard, "OIT hits the nail on the head by being one of the few (if not the only) ECM vendors supporting multiple operating systems such as Windows and Linux, and standards such as J2EE. The bigger news, however, is their support for multiple databases, in particular DB2. This gives customers multiple alternatives to leveraging their already expensive database license expenses into a cost-effective ECM solution." - Rai Wasner, Consultant and President of Kollabria.
