Pageflex and Enterprise Print Management Systems Integrate for Seamless Online Ordering and Business Process Automation

Cambridge, MA (August 19, 2008) – Pageflex, a division of Bitstream Inc. (NASDAQ: BITS, www.bitstream.com) and a leading developer of enterprise variable data publishing and web-to-print solutions and Enterprise Print Management Solutions (EPMS; www.entpms.com), a leading MIS solutions provider for printing companies, announced the integration of their technologies: Enterprise Print Management System and Pageflex Storefront web-to-print software. This practical solution provides a complete, streamlined workflow that encompasses the automation of day-to-day business transactions and the simplification of online ordering, print production, finishing and product shipment. The first EPMS customer to implement the integrated technology is Artcraft, a specialty printing and engraving company, that uses the system to manage their daily business and to process orders for engraving, embossing, foil stamping, offset lithography, thermography and diemaking.

“Finding the right partners with whom to collaborate is vital to our business. This integration provides our clients with a tool to better reach their clients. The Pageflex application is the strongest we’ve found and it’s been a spectacular partnership for us,” said Carol Andersen, Chairman of EPMS. “The flexibility of this system is second to none. It’s a total solution that allows us to offer a better product for our customers.”

The Enterprise Print Management System solution provides the tools to access, understand and evaluate all of the business processes that impact the success of Artcraft with minimal manual intervention. Pageflex Storefront is a turn-key software product that enables customers to define and manage orders placed with Artcraft. Jobs that are ordered through the Pageflex Storefront are automatically transferred to Artcraft without hands-on work, eliminating the possibility of transcription errors and reducing turnaround time. These systems integrate seamlessly to provide Artcraft with an easier way to manage day-to-day business, while offering a more efficient process for their customers and staff.

“We are very excited about the success Artcraft is seeing with the integration of Pageflex and EPMS,” said Anna Chagnon, president and CEO, Bitstream Inc. “EPMS can now offer their customers a proven tool that can automate business processes while simplifying online, customized ordering. Artcraft can provide faster turnaround times on online orders and better manage their business to ensure future growth. For us it’s a perfect partnership and an example of why we created Pageflex.”

“Pageflex and EPMS together have reduced our overhead costs associated with processing jobs because the orders go directly from the web to press. We’ve also been able to take on more work without hiring more staff, a tremendous benefit that offers a solid return on our investment,” said John Dumouchel, president, Artcraft. “This system not only works for our printed materials, but also modernizes the process for creating our engraved products. With this integration, we need just one system to handle all of our online orders.”
