Panasonic Panafax Line Wins Multiple Bertl 5-Star Galaxy© Citations

SECAUCUS, NJ (June 2009) — Panasonic Communications Company of North America (PCCNA) today announced that Bertl, Inc., a global leader in providing independent evaluation reports and comparative analyses of digital imaging products and workflow solutions, has awarded the Panafax UF-8200, UF-7200, and UF-6200 multifunction fax devices BERTL's coveted "Exceptional Certified Five-Star" status.

Based on extensive hands-on testing by Bertl technicians, the UF-8200, UF-7200 and UF-6200 were cited for their "outstanding range of business-critical features and functions" ... "innovative, easy-to-use" design and "exceptional value for the money." Bertl also lauded the Panafax models for their faxing, copying, scanning and printing quality and security features when ranked against similar devices using a sliding-scale benchmark.

"Bertl evaluated these three Panafax multifunction workstations in mission-critical areas such as faxing, scanning, print and copy image quality, workflow productivity, hardware build quality, operator-friendliness, feature set, data security, and network administration and awarded them their highest Galaxy 5 Star Exceptional rating."

Joseph Odore, PCCNA Product Specialist MFP/Fax, said "Given Bertl's fierce independence and the fact that only a small fraction of the hundreds of products they test each year receive a five-star rating, we are extremely proud to have earned these citations."

In detailed 25-page-plus reports accompanying the citations, Bertl evaluators praised all three Panafax models for performing "exceptionally well" during extensive testing and noted that the inclusion of print, copy and scan capability in no way compromised the "high-level fax functionality ... geared for fax-intensive environments" that highlights the entire Panafax line.

Offering high-performance scan speeds with Super 3G fax transmission rates of up to three pages per second, the Panafax UF-6200 can be used as a 600x600 dpi laser printer, a convenient image scanner for converting paper into digital documents and, via an optional module, an Internet Fax/Scan-to-Email solution. Standard equipment includes Panasonic's Document Management software suite, a high-speed USB port and a 400-page document memory.

Specifically designed for mid-sized hyper-office and workgroup environments, the Next Generation Panafax UF-8200 is a high-productivity workhorse with integrated network scanning and Internet Fax/Email capability, a 100-page automatic document feeder, expandable 550-page paper storage capacity, super high-speed scanning at up to 0.7 second per page and 12MB memory (expandable to 2GB with SD Card.).
