Panasonic Renews Focus at Dealer Meeting

Panasonic Digital Document Company recently held its National Dealer Meeting at the new Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas. This year’s meeting titled “A Renewed Focus” centered on award-winning products and outstanding customer satisfaction. The theme was exemplified in presentations addressing the launch of PDDC’s new website featuring an interactive test drive of its award-winning color C3 MFP, and the first internet-based dealer configurator.

A key note speech by Mr. Yoshi Yamada, Chairman of Panasonic of North America, addressed the company’s commitment to the digital imaging business. This was further reinforced with presentations by attending senior executives from Panasonic’s factory in Japan.

The focus on improved service and support was highlighted in a new company- wide initiative entitled Extreme Customer Care which is now an integral part of PDDCs’ efforts to bring service and support to a higher level.

For three days Panasonic office system dealers and document imaging industry analysts attended a robust, multi-faceted conference including daily breakout sessions covering the following key issues, strategies, and products:

Charging For Color / RDS – This session provided dealers with different options when charging for color. Also included was a refresher course on how RDS is able to assist dealers with their service organization.

Document Imaging – An in-depth look at Panasonic Scanners and how to effectively position them in the marketplace. Issues covered included today’s compliance and regulatory climate, and MFPs versus scanners.

New Products – Dealers and analysts had the opportunity to attend demonstrations of new product offerings including Panasonic’s new C3 MFP line-up, the new 8020 & 8016 monochrome MFPs, and two new full color connected Panaboard electronic white boards. Presentations included how these products are strategically positioned in today’s marketplace.

Selling Strategies – PDDC and Sandler Systems gave dealers sales training curriculum focusing on identifying the sales cycle and sharpening selling skills.

Communications – A compelling future look at Panasonic products and how document imaging and communications products can combine for a powerful solution in the office and enterprise.

Support Programs – Dealers had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with their respective Panasonic sales manager to discuss current sales and support programs and also meet with Panasonic authorized vendors in attendance.

Sneak Peak - And finally, a dramatic unveiling of the world’s first colored MFPs in yellow, blue, black and red closed the event.
