Precision Roller Increases Office and Warehouse Facilities
Phoenix, AZ (March 2009) – Precision Roller is one of the fastest growing distributor in the office equipment parts industry. Due to Precision’s fast growth and expanding product selection, the company needed to more than double the size of its existing facility - fast. "We desperately needed space," said Brian Kuhlmann, President and CEO of Precision Roller. "We needed to expand both our office and warehouse space and speed was critical." Bjerk Builders was the general contractor and George Fulton was the architect for this elaborate expansion.
The expansion increases Precision’s headquarters facility from 9,200 to 22,700 SF. The project includes office space for new product development and quality control. Warehouse space will more then double. With their new automated conveyor system, Precision will be able to ship up to 2,600 packages per day.
"Everybody is amazed by the additional space," said Kuhlmann. "Our customers and suppliers have been very impressed with the smooth transition to the expanded facility. This is especially impressive considering that the project was adjacent to our existing headquarters. Our global operations are run through this building and it was essential that our employees not be impacted by construction noise, dust or interruption to our power systems. Bjerk Builders made this a real priority, and were extremely careful to avoid interruption to our work. They worked a lot of nights and weekends, working around our schedule so we didn't have to work around theirs."
