PrinterNet, a company developed to provide solutions for copier users internationally, introduces FileScan—a simple document management & imaging software package for Window.
FileScan is designed to make scanning and retrieval in office environments simple. It includes retrieval by company, three personalized index fields and full-text searching. Document distribution components include sending scanned documents via email, fax and print. Basic imaging tools, import files, batch import, and light workflow components are also included.
FileScan utilizes integrated low level TWAIN image processing technologies to deliver documents from the scanner to its Microsoft Office Access Database without using your Windows processing power. All files are stored internally as image files or in their original document format and easily imported from any application.
Supported formats include: bmp, jpg, jpeg, gif, BMP, CMS, GIF, JPG, PCX, PNG, CM, TIF, tiff, PCD, EMF, WMF, TGA, CRW, DCR, DIR, MRW, NEF, ORF, RAF, X3F, doc, txt, rtf, wpf, pdf, ppt, ppt, pps, xl, xls, xlt, zip, wav, mid, mid, htm, html, wav, mdi, mp3, avi, mpg, and mpeg.
FileScan has its own email SMTP Client for sending documents. Templates can be personalized with an easy to use editor for attachment cover messages. FileScan also has a dictionary with the capability of adding words for OCR Searching. It also enables users to view and edit Microsoft Office documents from within the program. These include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and text files.
Support is very efficient for FileScanTM clients as there is a built-in error handler, which can email the support department the error code and log file enabling us to pinpoint the problem in just seconds and email a solution to the client and their dealer.
Already available in the United
States, FileScan will be released in Spanish, Japanese, French, German, Dutch,
