ReadSoft Expands its Solution for Document Classification with Handwritten Recognition from A2iA DocumentReader
New York and Paris (September 9, 2008) – A2iA, a leading provider of tools for document analysis and handwritten data extraction, announced today that they have signed a global partner agreement with ReadSoft, a leading global provider of software solutions for Document Automation. This agreement makes ReadSoft the first worldwide supplier of A2iA DocumentReader’s “Full Cursive Transcription” technology for handwritten documents as part of ReadSoft’s document classification and mailroom automation solution.
“This alliance with A2iA means that we can offer our customers highly efficient handling of all incoming correspondence,” says Dan Lundmark Director of Partner Sales EMEA at ReadSoft. “This is a perfect complement to ReadSoft DOCUMENTS, our successful platform for automatically handling business documents that we offer to customers, especially those in business sectors such as insurance, banking and finance.”
A2iA’s technology enables ReadSoft to incorporate all cursive handwritten documents such as letters, complaints, and other correspondence, into the workflow containing other printed and electronic documents. With this integration ReadSoft’s customers have one portal for all incoming documents electronic or paper-based - no matter if they are printed or cursive handwritten. ReadSoft DOCUMENTS feeds the business documents and data to the right recipients in the business processes, saving considerable preparation time and effort.
“I am delighted that ReadSoft is the first worldwide supplier of A2iA DocumentReader’s “Full Cursive Transcription” technology for document classification and mailroom automation. I believe that this global partnership will emphasize the strengths and synergy of both our companies in the document automation market. Through the companies’ combined expertise, clients will benefit from the exceptionally high performance of our solutions,” says Jean-Louis Fages, Chairman of the Board and CEO of A2iA.
