Recharge Asia Corp. to Host New Event, March 12-14, 2008
It’s a trade show designed to welcome Asian companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution and sale of imaging materials and hardware who are seeking Western raw material sources and markets. Conversely, it is a trade show designed for Western companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution and sale of imaging materials who are seeking Asian raw material sources and markets. Planned by Recharge Asia magazine, this new event complements the successful launch of its RechargExpo Singapore 2007 exposition on June 17-19, 2007.
Ms. Sunny Sun, Managing Director of Recharge Asia Corporation, envisions the new show as “a long overdue interface of two business cultures: imaging industry players from the Asia Pacific region and their Western counterparts from the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.”
The scene of this first ever Asia Pacific Imaging Fair is the Hollywood Hills on March 12-14, 2008 at the Hilton Universal City Hotel adjacent to Universal Studios.
According to Ms. Sun, “This event will open a door to OEMs and rechargers alike with opportunities for imaging products manufactured in China, Asia, and Europe to serve buyers in North and South America. It will also enable OEMs and aftermarket suppliers to display their wares, network, and participate in a number of marketing and technical sessions.”
Asian Quest: Raising the Bar on Quality
“In conversations with exhibitors and delegates at RechargExpo Singapore last month (June 17-19),” reports imaging industry pioneer Art Diamond, “I sensed a powerful, focused trend to raise the quality of Asian products to successfully compete in world markets. Producers of toners, photoreceptors, remanufactured cartridges, encrypted chips and other offerings realize that despite their low prices they cannot challenge existing manufacturers outside their country unless they raise the quality and the consistency of their products.”
Diamond added, “There is every indication they will succeed sooner rather than later in this quest for world acceptance. Therefore, 2008 could be perfect timing for them to negotiate with prospective buyers, dealers and distributors here in Los Angeles.
Remanufacturing and the production of aftermarket imaging supplies are growing dramatically worldwide. More than 70% of the consumables produced in China and India, for example, are export oriented. Chinese manufacturers are seeking markets in North and South America. India’s leading independent toner producer, Indian Toners & Developers Ltd., is also targeting export markets as they are in the process of doubling their production capacity. RechargExpo USA will prove to be the ideal platform for exposure to these Western markets.
New: A Buyer’s Workshop
One of the star attractions at RechargExpo USA is a Buyer’s Workshop session to be held at the event’s opening. Buyers will be invited from many of the “big box” electronics, appliance, and office superstores. These attendees will be exposed to talks by Vendors on:
* An introduction to the cartridge remanufacturing industry
* How their products should be sold
* The benefits in buying remanufactured and aftermarket imaging products
* Energy savings and environmental benefits
* Cash savings for prudent customers
Chatsworth: Cartridge Remanufacturing Hub
Los Angeles, the largest industrial city in the Western United States has many manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, and large corporations that serve the imaging industry. Chatsworth, a suburb of Los Angeles in the Simi Valley, is the cartridge remanufacturing hub of the United States. Thus, RechargExpo is positioned adjacent to the heart of the American recharging industry. Less than one-half hour’s drive away, plant visits in Chatsworth are possible and meetings with prospective customers or suppliers can be conveniently scheduled.
