Remax Asia Pacific 2009, Hosted by Recycler Publishing and Events (China) Ltd., Hailed a Great Success.

From 14-16 October, Remax Asia Pacific welcomed 292 exhibitors. Compared to 2008, the number of exhibitors had an increase of 56.7%, that is, 102 exhibitors. The show area increased by 107.5%. In the show, laser cartridges and parts suppliers accounted for 62.19% of all exhibitors, while inkjet product suppliers accounted for 18.73%, machinery 3.89%. The survey for exhibitors showed that 90.4% of them were satisfied with the show; 97.5% said the visitors they received were professional and fell into their target client; 32.5% exhibitors estimated that they received more than 100 clients, among which over 50% of the clients are new.

During the three days of Remax Asia Pacific, 7,238 visitors from 75 countries and regions participated at the show. The number has increased by 44.7%, while the countries and regions covered has increased by 20.9%. With regards to exhibitors, the visitors had high comments. The survey for visitors showed that 91.3% of them were satisfied with the show and have found suitable suppliers; and that 72.6% of the visitors said the scale and organization of the show were better than their expectation; and that 95.4% of visitors regarded highly of the value-added services such as the VIP service and free shuttle bus to Canton Fair (203 overseas visitors took the free shuttle bus service to Canton Fair).
Meanwhile, the various activities hosted by the organizers have also received high recognition from exhibitors and visitors.

On October 13, 2009, the Premax conference, themed as The Dynamics in the Printer Supplies Industry, was attended by 95 people. Gao Jianhua, the former marketing director of HP China, Henry Wihelm, president of Wilhelm Imaging Research, Jan De Kesel, president of TCO-Partners, Arnald Ho, president of the Consumables Committee of the China Computer Industrial Association and board chairman of Print-rite Holdings, Steve Weedon, CEO of Static Control Components (Europe) Limited, David Connett, publisher of Recycler Trade Magazine, Helen Duan, Innopat Intellectual Property Co., Ltd., Scott Zang, marketing director of Zhuhai Ninestar Image Co., Ltd. etc. have given presentations on the hot issues in the industry.

Aimed at presenting the innovation image of the China aftermarket, raise the awareness of intellectual property and facilitating the development of the innovation ability of the industry, the Print-rite Innovation Award 2009 held its award ceremony on the first day of the trade show. Award winners include 12 patents and 10 innovative works. Patent Gold Award winner was Hubei Dinglong Chemicals Co., Ltd. and Sun Ronghua from Jiaxing Tianma; and Innovative Golden Idea Award winner was Chen Liqing from Jilin University, Zhuhai college.

Remax Academy offered an excellent platform for the printer consumables industry to exchange information and learn. This year, a series of seminars on market trends and technical training were held at Remax Academy during the show.

Seminars on technical training were provided by Static Control, UTec, and Apex Microelectronics, covering remanufacturing techniques, chip design and ink sensors.
Seminars on market trends were provided by Charles Brewer, the senior market analyst, J.M.Dassani, chairman of Indian Cartridge Remanufacturers & Recyclers Association, Dr. Aydan Bekirov, publisher of RechargEast Magazine, and Luke Goldberg, senior vice president of Future Graphics Imaging Corporation. Charles Brewer gave three presentations respectively on inkjet market, laser market and OEMs, which provided insight and detailed data. Dassani and Aydan introduced the status quo and prospects of Indian market and Russian market respectively, a help for those who want to enter these markets.

On the evening of October 15, Remax Beer Night was held in the Bar Street of Zhuhai, which is typical for the nightlife in Zhuhai. Over 100 of exhibitors and visitors enjoyed a relaxing night in the comfortable end-of-summer breeze.

The trade show this year witnessed large visitor flow. We have received many potential clients. Our booth space is insufficient for so many visitors. So we will enlarge our booth size next year.

This was my first visit to Remax Asia Pacific and I was impressed by the professionalism of the organizers. Forum subjects and invited speakers were very carefully selected and I am sure that all visitors can agree with me that this was a useful event. Visitors from Russia sent me mails confirming that they had good chance and opportunity not only to meet exhibitors, but also to visit their factories in Zhuhai.
