Ricoh Designs First Web-Based Solution
Ricoh Corporation, the Dependable Digital(TM) output company, introduced Document Mall (www.documentmall.com), a web-based solution that allows corporations to store, manage and share files through the Internet anytime, anywhere.
By integrating with Ricoh's digital imaging systems, Document Mall addresses a wide breadth of document management needs while offering a low cost, low risk storing and sharing solution for small to mid-size companies. Document Mall offers all the benefits of a fully powered storage and sharing service, providing features such as automatic titling for scanned documents and DocViewer, which allows users to view documents without the application resident on their PCs. In addition, this rentable solution requires minimal capital expenditure and IT labor involvement because of its automatic upgrading capabilities and the elimination of installation or need for a local server and maintenance.
In addition to providing secure file access and management from any Internet device including an Internet fax or digital camera, Document Mall is also available as a integrated option on the Aficio 1035 and Aficio 1045 digital imaging systems and on the new Aficio 1022 and Aficio 1027. On each of these multifunctional (MFP) devices - customers can access Document Mall over the Internet via the web browser located on the LCD panel -- the only Internet-accessible MFP product in the market today. In the near future, customers will be able to access Document Mall through PDAs and cellular phones.
Upon registration, Ricoh works closely with an administrator from each company to provide online training. Ricoh also offers web-based end user training.
