Ricoh Introduces Enhanced Independent Solutions Vendor Program


West Caldwell, NJ (October 29, 2008) — Ricoh Americas Corporation, a leading provider of digital office equipment, today announced significant enhancements to its industry leading Alliance Program through the introduction of the new Ricoh Independent Solutions Vendor Program (RiSVP).

The RiSVP Program, developed in cooperation with both Ricoh solution partners and Ricoh’s direct and dealer channels, focuses on two key areas: expansion of channel marketing opportunities for RiSVP members and simplifying solution access for Ricoh sales channels. All current Ricoh Technology Alliance members are automatically enrolled in this new program.

RiSVP channel marketing expansion is accomplished with the addition of new components designed to help program members grow their business more rapidly with Ricoh. These include new levels of branded marketing and product positioning, the ability to accrue Market Development Funds (MDF), and broad RiSVP member product distribution to Ricoh direct and dealer channels. These new benefits will provide faster and greater financial return on the investments RiSVP members have made in developing solutions that, combined with Ricoh’s award-winning product portfolio, address customer key concerns.

By also focusing on simplifying solution access for Ricoh channels, both direct and dealer sales benefit from consistent RiSVP member messaging aligned with corporate initiatives. Additionally, the implementation of an improved sales engagement model, designed specifically by the channel, makes it much easier for Ricoh direct and dealer field personnel to engage RiSVP members in joint selling opportunities. With RiSVP member products now available right from Ricoh, the direct and dealer channels are provided more opportunities for new revenue growth combined and simplified sales operations.

Members of RiDP, Ricoh’s Developer Program, are automatically moved into the RiSVP program after their products are integrated on Ricoh’s open MFP platform using Ricoh’s Embedded Software Architecture (ESA) and successfully pass compatibility testing.
