NASHVILLE, TN (June 2, 2010) RJ Young employees reach their goal to help grant a wish for a local child. The company held a Wii Olympic tournament to help raise funds to send a local Make a Wish child suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on a cruise with her mother and brother. The tournament included brackets to compete in Wii bowling, tennis and boxing. The event was a hit and they did meet their goal of $6000!

“This was our biggest fundraiser to date. We were elated that so many employees contributed and stayed to play. It shows how dedicated they are to supporting Make a Wish and our community,” said Hunter McCarty  COO at RJ Young.

This is RJ Young’s second time to grant a wish. Their first wish was granted in 2008 to Trenton, who suffered from Chronic Renal Failure, who was able to fulfill his dream and go to Yankee stadium and meet Derek Jeter.
