Sharp Expands in North Carolina

Mahwah, NJ (March 18, 2008) - Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) today announced that it is continuing to expand its direct regional sales operation with the opening of a new Sharp Business Systems branch in Charlotte, North Carolina. Sharp Business Systems of the Carolinas opened today as the seventh branch of the division.

SIICA purchased Charlotte, North Carolina-based Copy Data Network to launch Sharp Business Systems in the North Carolina area, serving both North and South Carolina. The Copy Data Network management team has served the market for almost 20 years, gaining a reputation for superior service and commitment to its customers. All 300 employees of Copy Data Network have been asked to join the Sharp team and will provide seamless service to new and existing customers across the Carolinas -- the largest employee base to join a SBS branch to date.

Moving forward, Sharp Business Systems of the Carolinas will offer their customers Sharp's line of advanced office products and solutions, which was recently recognized by BLI as "Product Line of the Year". The company will continue to provide the same high level of service and also continue to serve existing equipment and contract agreements.

Sharp Business Systems of the Carolinas will be managed by its current Executive Vice President, Tim Renegar, who brings vast knowledge and experience in the industry to Sharp. Owner and President Kal Kardous will remain with the company and continue to serve as a consultant to Sharp. "We share Sharp's philosophy of outstanding customer service and the delivery of high-quality products and solutions. Sharp Business Systems Strategy
SIICA plans to establish more than 20 local Sharp Business Systems branches during the next few years. Since the first branch opening in Arizona, SBS branches have opened in San Francisco, South Florida, Indianapolis, San Diego and Washington D.C.
