Simple Software announced today that the latest version of its SimpleIndex document management software eliminates most of the burdensome tasks that office workers face in scanning, indexing and finding ANY document. Most importantly, the innovation of SimpleIndex enables any organization with a digital copier to embrace document automation without a huge financial or labor investment. Powerful features include dynamic OCR (optical character recognition), barcode support, and a 1-click user interface. SimpleIndex allows scan jobs to be saved to a SimpleIndex Configuration File for execution later. The same configuration files can be run by double-clicking an icon just like opening a document, or configured to run automatically on a server. Another benefit is that SimpleIndex processes Microsoft Office and PDF files, not just scanned images. Template and dictionary matching algorithms, supporting regular expressions, are used to find key values within the text of those documents so they can be indexed accurately and automatically.
