Software for Small Businesses
Ipswitch, Inc., a developer of network management, messaging and file transfer solutions, announced the expansion of its WhatsUp product line with the release of Ipswitch WhatsUp Small Business 2004. Ipswitch WhatsUp Small Business provides core network monitoring capabilities out of the box so small businesses can avoid the application crashes, power outages, and equipment failures that can bring productivity to an immediate halt. Ipswitch WhatsUp Small Business regularly checks the availability of up to 10 devices (PCs, servers, printers, modems, etc.) to ensure networks are performing optimally. Additionally, Ipswitch WhatsUp Small Business monitors the status of essential network services such as http, smtp, email, Internet and other important business applications. Ipswitch WhatsUp Small Business delivers integrated monitoring of both network hardware and the applications organizations run on networks. The software is capable of automatically identifying key devices residing on the local or wide area network and provides users with an easy-to-read map of the network; monitoring up to 10 critical network devices and keeping track of device status, service availability and overall network performance; and identifying network failures via e-mail, sound, or system alerts. The program has a U.S. list price of $295 and includes support and upgrades for the first year. For more information, visit http://www.ipswitch.com.
