Square 9 Softworks Introduces KeyFree Indexing into SmartSearch Content Management Suite
New Haven, CT (September 4, 2008) — Square 9 Softworks, a leading developer of innovative, business-centric software solutions, announced today the introduction of KeyFree Indexing into its award-winning SmartSearch Content Management Suite. KeyFree Indexing will debut officially with the release of version 2.2 of the SmartSearch Content Management Suite at the end of September.
The SmartSearch Content Management Suite is a feature-rich solution suite that organizations of all sizes use to manage their documents electronically, driving efficiency and productivity across all business processes. Built for content management on the .NET Platform using an open architecture design, SmartSearch is a scalable, value-driven solution that is easy to use, learn and support. Using the power of Optical Character Recognition (OCR), KeyFree Indexing now makes indexing and storing documents with SmartSearch even easier and faster.
“KeyFree Indexing will revolutionize the way SmartSearch users file documents electronically, especially non-structured documents like vendor invoices or sales orders,” said Stephen Young, president and CEO of Square 9 Softworks. “KeyFree Indexing dramatically reduces the time and effort needed to index documents, resulting in lower costs and a greater return on investment for our customers.”
From small businesses to the Fortune 500, organizations that rely on document-intensive processes use SmartSearch to manage documents electronically and streamline their workflow as they eliminate inefficient paper-based filing systems. This unique software solution is ideal for businesses such as law offices, physician practices, accounting firms, trucking companies and mortgage and title companies that are looking for a cost-effective way to eliminate their paper-based filing systems.
SmartSearch uses KeyFree Indexing to process documents that contain non-structured data and cannot be indexed automatically through bar codes, zonal-based OCR or other methods. Instead of keying index fields manually – a time-consuming process – SmartSearch users activate the KeyFree Indexing module and are guided through the document’s index fields by the SmartSearch Navigator, a small information box attached to their mouse cursor. Users point to the required information and capture it with a single mouse click.
KeyFree Indexing recognizes the information contained in a document and analyzes it for word limits and syntactical units. If an amount or date is required, KeyFree Indexing marks all of the potentially relevant information in the document. When the user moves the cursor, selected information is displayed in the SmartSearch Navigator. KeyFree Indexing can also format the text in a document, converting dates, for example, to match SmartSearch index field conventions.
