Square 9 Softworks Releases Version 2.3 of the SmartSearch Content Management Suite

SmartSearch 2.3’s most noteworthy new feature, Capture Workflow delivers a wide array of tools for image capture automation. With a visually appealing and highly intuitive graphical format, Capture Workflow is an easy-to-use drag-and-drop design tool for creating automated import processes, including image enhancement, document separation and bar code recognition, as well as index data capture through a CSV import or document file name. Capture Workflow is being introduced as a core product feature and is available to all SmartSearch users with an active support contract.

Two optional modules are also being introduced which can be added to Capture Workflow for an additional cost: Zonal Based Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and PDF Creator, a server side tool for creating text searchable PDFs.

In addition to Capture Workflow, other significant customer-requested feature enhancements available in the Standard Edition of SmartSearch 2.3 include:

• Automated Import of Data & Documents

• Import and Index by File Name

• Drop Down and Type Ahead Style Pick List Option

• Lotus Notes E-mail Support

• Results Paging

Several optional feature enhancements are also available in SmartSearch 2.3. These include Multi Database Support (optional in the Standard Edition; included in the Corporate Edition), PDF Creator and Zonal Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
