Strategy Development Expands Offering, Mike Woodard Joins Firm to Lead Service Practice


Bryn Mawr, PA (December 2, 2008) —Strategy Development, a management-consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Mike Woodard has joined the firm as a consultant. In this role, Mike will concentrate in the practice area of improving service deliverable and profit margins.

Woodard brings to Strategy Developmenthas an extensive background in the service function within the imaging industry. After majoring in engineering at San Diego City College and the University of Colorado, Woodard joined Xerox as a field service technician. Over the next 18 years Woodard held numerous staff and line positions, ultimately leading the service function as district manager. Woodard joined IKON as Marketplace Vice President of Service for the (marketplace / company) where, after consolidating five companies’ service organizations, he ultimately had responsibility for 200 field technicians. Woodard was then promoted to District Vice President of Service, providing executive leadership to 15 Marketplaces.

In 2000, Mike was asked topromoted to VP lead of Field Service Operations for IKON North America with responsibility for improving profitability, productivity, customer satisfaction and employee retention and morale. In this position Mike also rolled out a national automated dispatch program. Mike was then asked to lead Field Services for IKON North America, with ultimate responsibility for $1.2 billion in aftermarket revenue, 6,000 field and service support personnel, and 20,000 customer facing events per day. Mike improved service productivity by 25%, gross profit by 500 basis points, and implemented a field wireless program, among other initiatives.
