Supplies Network Opens Fresno Distribution Center
Supplies Network, the largest privately-owned wholesaler of IT consumables in the U.S., announces the opening of a new Distribution Center in Fresno, CA. The company’s UPS next-day ground service now includes California and western Nevada. Additional next-day markets—Las Vegas, Phoenix and Tucson—are served by California Overnight. Other Supplies Network regional distribution centers are located in Dallas, St. Louis and Harrisburg, PA.
Resellers have the option of shipping orders directly to their customers, thereby eliminating redundant handling and costly warehousing. According to a recent NOPA study, handling inventory adds 8.6% to a dealer’s cost-of-goods sold. “We don’t charge extra for direct shipping, and it’s an effortless way for dealers to cut operating costs and maximize profits,” explains Tom Fleming, President and CEO of Supplies Network. “Many of our dealers are stockless, taking full advantage of Supplies Network’s high fill rates and order accuracy.”
“Supplies Network is taking the strategic steps necessary to be the lowest-cost wholesaler of IT consumables,” said Fleming. “Our distribution model, built on regional UPS ground service, provides timely, reliable shipping at minimum cost. We now have one- and two-day UPS ground from coast to coast, reaching 94 percent of the U.S. population.”
