TallyGenicom now offers comprehensive ‘Rapid-Response’ service

Arthur D. Gallo, CEO of TallyGenicom, L.P., announced today that the business printer solutions company now offers comprehensive ‘Rapid-Response’ service on all Genicom and Tally branded printers in operation across North America, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Canada. Over 500 factory-trained technicians, in 280 metropolitan areas, will be available to provide on-site, depot repair and express exchange service to customers using the company’s printers.

“We are committed to being the premier customer service provider in our industry,” said Gallo. “We want our end user customers and resellers to know that owning a Tally or Genicom printer means optimum performance with minimal down time. Our service technicians are trained to get our printers up and running within one hour of  arriving at our customer’s site.”

Genicom and Tally were independent printer brands prior to August 2003 when they joined forces. Now the companies have combined and cross-trained their service teams, creating a vast new customer service network able to respond rapidly to any customer need around the clock. Also, going beyond the typical commitment to simple response time, TallyGenicom commits its on-site repair will fully restore to service in less than 18 business hours. Service from the manufacturer is the only way to guarantee genuine OEM parts used in repair.

“Under this expanded program, we are offering customers the option of custom-tailoring a service plan that meets their own unique needs,” said Richard Waddell, Vice President of Sales. “If they have out-of-the-way locations, or need all-night service capability, we can provide for it in many areas. Our service is only limited by our customers’ needs.”

Under the new TallyGenicom plan, customers can choose from a variety of different levels of service based on their own needs and resources. In addition to standard on-site service 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with next business day response, customers can opt for 24/7, 24/5 or 9/7 coverage on-site. For customers with less critical turnaround requirements, TallyGenicom provides for a depot repair option under which printers are serviced at a TallyGenicom service depot and returned to the customer within five working days.
