Tech Data U.S. Recognizes Business Partners with Difference in Distribution Awards
CLEARWATER, FL - Tech Data Corporation has announced the winners of its Difference in Distribution Awards at the company's annual Business Partner Summit in Orlando. Seven of the industry's leading manufacturers and software publishers received honors saluting their commitment to the IT distribution channel.

Fujitsu Computer Products of America - The Difference Maker
Tech Data's most prestigious vendor business partner award, The Difference Maker, was presented to Fujitsu in recognition of the company's commitment to the channel and exceptional loyalty to Tech Data's document imaging customers. Fujitsu always maintains a high degree of engagement with Tech Data, encouraging continued growth and success.
Cisco Systems - Best SMB-Focused Business Partner
Cisco was recognized for its dedication to supporting small-to-midsize business (SMB) resellers. An active participant in many Tech Data SMB-oriented programs including TechSelect and SMBAccess, Cisco consistently engages the distributor to develop innovative SMB marketing activities and introduced more than 30 new products for the SMB market this past year.
Apple - SBU Business Partner of the Year
The SBU Business Partner of the Year Award honors Apple for its collaboration with Tech Data in establishing the distributor's AppleAdvantage SBU. Together, Tech Data and Apple ensured they were providing resellers with the specialized products, support and services they could leverage to more profitably capitalize on the demand for Apple-based solutions.
HP Supplies - TDLeanSigma Business Partner of the Year
The TDLeanSigma Business Partner of the Year salutes the vendor business partner that best complements Tech Data's efforts to continually improve operational efficiencies. This year, Tech Data and HP identified and re-engineered more than two dozen supply chain processes, improving performance in receiving, shipping and delivery of HP supplies.
Trend Micro - Sales and Marketing Innovator
The Sales and Marketing Innovator Award recognizes Trend Micro for taking a lead in creating new customer engagement activities, including an online training series that makes it easier for resellers to earn Trend Micro authorization. A TechSelect and SMBAccess supporter, Trend Micro is actively involved in engaging and recruiting resellers through innovative marketing activities and channel programs.
Mitel - Fast Start Business Partner
Since establishing a distribution agreement with Tech Data's Telephony SBU earlier this year, Mitel has demonstrated its commitment to engaging resellers and growing its business through the channel. Tech Data and Mitel have worked closely to develop targeted marketing campaigns and channel programs to recruit, train and provide authorization assistance to new and existing Telephony SBU customers.
Connie Noyes, IBM - Business Partner Account Manager of the Year
Connie Noyes, IBM Client Executive for Tech Data, was named Business Partner Account Manager of the Year. Noyes is a strong advocate for Tech Data and its IBM reseller customers. She is constantly engaged with Tech Data's IBM One Team, ensuring issues such as pricing, inventory management and individual customer requests are quickly addressed.
