Tech Data's AIS Division Partners with SteelEye Technology
CLEARWATER, FL - The Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) Division of Tech Data Corporation expanded its support for value-added resellers (VARs) deploying business continuity and disaster recovery solutions. The company announced that it is the exclusive distributor for SteelEye Technology Inc., offering VARs access to the vendor’s data replication software for physical and virtual servers running Windows or Linux operating systems. Additionally, next month’s AIS Partner Summit will help educate VARs on how server virtualization can enable them to deliver more efficient and profitable business continuity solutions.
“The AIS Division supports the channel’s most robust data center solutions offerings, comprising server, storage and virtualization products from industry leaders like Fujitsu, HP, IBM and VMware,” said Director, Product Marketing, Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, Amy Belcher. “Our new partnership with SteelEye further strengthens our business continuity practice, especially for data centers utilizing Linux and virtualization software. We are enabling VARs to deliver assurance to their customers that critical data is always up to date and will not be lost in the event of natural disaster or other systems failure.”
SteelEye is a leading provider of disaster recovery and business continuity
solutions. Its products provide multi-platform functionality to deliver
continuous access to business-critical information, and includes support for
SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Exchange and SQL Server. Through AIS, Tech Data will
distribute the entire line of SteelEye products, including:
LifeKeeper for Windows or Linux – addresses business continuity recovery needs, including disaster recovery, data protection, and high availability for Windows or Linux servers
SteelEye Data Replication – provides continuous data protection regardless of application or platform through real-time data replication
SteelEye Virtual Server Technology – delivers continuous data protection for virtual servers
“Tech Data’s AIS Division offers a set of solutions for the mid-market and enterprise space where SteelEye’s products can provide tremendous additional flexibility and value,” said Garrett Gafke, CEO and President at SteelEye Technology. “Through our partnership with Tech Data, we are making it easier for value-added resellers to partner with SteelEye in delivering world-class, cross-platform business continuity solutions.”
Comprehensive Data Protection
Through specialized sales and technical support, AIS assists VARs developing solutions that protect business-critical data such as CRM and ERP databases. In case of natural disaster, local systems outage or other disruption, these business continuity solutions can trigger automatic failover capabilities providing access to designated backup servers and storage devices, which minimizes downtime and potential business disruption. For use in both physical and virtual data center environments, these solutions enable users to centrally manage all network-attached storage devices in remote locations or satellite offices to maximize storage capacity and data availability.
AIS Partner Summit
During Tech Data’s AIS Partner Summit July 16-17 at the distributor’s Clearwater headquarters, VARs, vendors, and AIS sales and technical representatives will explore the latest virtualization trends and their impact on a wide range of data center operations, including business continuity. Attendees will share best practices on how to efficiently and profitably deploy these solutions. VARs also will have the opportunity to tour Tech Data’s 5,500-square-foot TDSolutionsCenter for hands-on solutions demonstrations.
