The “Big Boys” are Back at ITEX
Dealer business forums, dozens of educational classes, numerous group meetings, and thousands of square feet of show floor featuring hundreds of vendors—all of those elements are what makes the ITEX national convention the center of the “document imaging universe” on an annual basis.
And the convention’s impact on the industry is receiving some serious attention from many of its “Big Boys.”
Although manufacturers in the copier/printer industry are becoming more and more selective about the shows they support, ITEX has been able to garner plenty of interest from these OEMs.
In fact, ten OEMs have already signed on for the convention, which will be held March 14-17, 2006 in Las Vegas. OEM giants Panasonic, Xerox, Samsung, Muratec, Oki Data, Sharp, TallyGenicom, RISO, Hewlett-Packard, and Konica Minolta have discovered that in order to aggressively attract new partners they need to exhibit their offerings at ITEX.
In addition, ITEX has partnered with a wide variety of solution and service providers, resellers and print providers who leverage the power and flexibility of OEM technologies, channels, and document knowledge.
“ITEX is an excellent venue to show current and potential dealers the latest products and technology,” said Janet Rodgers, Panasonic’s manager for strategic planning/brand marketing.
“Our main objective at ITEX is to familiarize dealers with Panasonic’s wide array of office product solutions and innovative support programs,” she added. “When dealers see the depth of our product line, especially our color MFPs, they readily understand that we have just about everything they need to meet their customer’s digital imaging needs.”
With all of these OEMs spread out across the 70,000 square feet of showroom floor, attendees will have the opportunity to network with these brand name MFP and office technology providers and, additionally, be able to check out the numerous software exhibitors who represent the new era of technology for the document imaging industry.
Brainstorming with the many OEMs at the convention will help simplify the arduous task of locating components, applications, software, hardware and parts, among other comprehensive needs in question.
