TriMega Recognized Top Performers at 15th Annual One-on-One Meeting
Rosemont, IL( April 25, 2011) – Business owners and executives from more than 40 of the nation’s leading office product dealerships and executives of 35 industry suppliers met April 10 – 14 at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, in Scottsdale, Arizona for TriMega Purchasing Association’s 15th Annual One-on-One Meeting entitled “Exploring New Horizons” (www.trimega.org/oneonone). The annual meeting once again brought together members of TriMega’s Contract Forum, the largest members of the group, with specially invited leading suppliers for a series of individual “one-on-one” scheduled meetings and comprehensive business reviews.
“The focus of our meeting this year was expanding horizons and discovering new opportunities in today’s marketplace,” commented TriMega President, Charlie Cleary. “This month’s gathering has once again revealed, that constructive collaboration between the dealer community and key suppliers yields powerful solutions to capture these new opportunities,” he remarked.
In addition to individual dealer/supplier one-on-one meetings conducted during the week, other highlights of the event included: An educational & entertaining keynote address by Economic Futurists Jeff Thredgold. In a presentation entitled, The Recession’s Over! Now What? Thredgold delivered an up-to-the-minute update, insights and forecasts on the domestic and global economy, the financial and labor markets as well as valuable information on positioning your business for growth in the recovering economy.
Other presentations included an update on TriMega and its key strategic initiatives including Point Nationwide and SmartXpress; A new networking component -Roundtable Discussions entitled “Industry Insights” which was a vibrant and constructive forum for lively idea exchange, debate and peer-to-peer learning on the important industry issues for both dealers and suppliers. They included: The Changing Face of our Industry (moderated by Krista Moore of K. Coaching); Technology Trends (moderated by Ian Wist of Wist Office Products); Finding a G.E.M. -Government, Education and Medical – (moderated by Tom Buxton of Interbiz Consulting) and a Dealer’s Choice Open Forum (moderated by Bruce Eaton of Eaton Office Supply). Reviews from participants in these sessions were very positive.
“This event has long been regarded as one of the premier industry events for top-to-top networking and business development, and this year’s One-on-One Meeting appears to have resonated with both our dealer and supplier partner attendees,” remarked Michael Morris, TriMega’s Vice President of Marketing. “In fact, survey responses from meeting participants reveal that this 15th Annual Meeting has been rated our highest yet,” he continued. “And, what’s even better, is that the energy and attitude of the attendees was really very positive. TriMega also announced the 2012 dates and location of their 16th Annual One-on-One Meeting which will take place April 15 –19, 2012 at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort & Spa in Indian Wells (Palm Springs), CA. More details on the 2012 Meeting will follow as the event draws near.
