Troy Announces Printing Adapter with Wireless Technology

TROY Group Inc., a developer of printer connectivity solutions, has announced a printer adapter, co-developed with HP, that incorporates next generation Bluetooth wireless technology.

The printer adapter enables printing with a range of emerging client devices enabled with Bluetooth wireless technology, such as mobile phones, digital cameras, PDAs, and notebook computers. Incorporating the recently released Bluetooth Basic Printing Profile (BPP), Basic Imaging Profile (BIP), and xHTML print technology, the printer adapter simplifies the end-user's wireless printing experience by eliminating the need for printer-specific drivers.

TROY will release its printer adapter with Bluetooth wireless technology in December. Both companies' products still support printing utilizing legacy profiles such as SPP, OPP and HCRP.
