Twenty Year Anniversary Celebration for Lasertech
Warrington, UK (March 2009) -Lasertech UK Ltd. celebrated twenty years in the Printer Cartridge Manufacturing business this January with an awards dinner for their franchisees and partners. Today they are one of the UK largest manufacturers of Compatible Toner, Ink cartridges and suppliers of Office Products, they have a network of approaching 100 franchise territories which are a mixture of Company and Franchise owned businesses, in the UK, Ireland and Spain.
2008 saw a large 72% increase in the sales of the Lasertech Brand Printer Cartridges. Due to more businesses needing to save money during the recession many are changing from buying high priced brands to the low cost Lasertech Brand.
Justin Williams, Sales Director of Lasertech explains a couple of reason this has happened. “We sell millions of pounds of OEM products each year alongside our Lasertech Brand. However, whilst OEM’s increased prices by up to 40% due to the strong gains of the Euro, Lasertech are not as exposed to currency fluctuations. This coupled with our fantastic new product development; means our products are great value for businesses, some of our customers are saving over 80% in some cases. Our competitors cannot keep up with us!!”
Jason Williams founded the company with a £1000 Princes Trust grant back in 1989, at just 20 years old. Today he still runs the company with his brother Justin. Lasertech employs over 60 members of staff at Lasertech’s Head Office in Warrington where they have two factories manufacturing Ink and Toner Cartridges and a Recycling Centre.
Lasertech Cartridges are manufactured to full ISO standards re-using the outer plastic shell of empty cartridges returned as part of the Lasertech Recycling Programme. All internal components are replaced and the new cartridges are made to a similar high quality standard as manufacturers such as HP, Canon etc.
