VillageEDOCS Announces Anti-Spam Fax Technology
a provider of global electronic document delivery services, announced a service
enhancement that detects and eliminates unwanted advertisements for its inbound
to a report by the Public Utilities Commission, each year junk faxing costs tens
of millions of dollars in paper, toner, maintenance, and handling expense. Due
to the increase in market awareness of spam faxing, VillageEDOCS has made public
that last year it developed and implemented proprietary filtering technology so
that its clients would not be bothered by unwanted junk faxes also known as spam.
Clients using VillageEDOCS inbound Fax-to-Email service have benefited from this enhancement through improved productivity, lower operational costs, and reduction of employee downtime and blocked phone lines. As an incoming fax is received, the Anti-Spam fax technology quickly recognizes the arrival of these incoming junk documents and places them in a holding area, thus eliminating the nuisance to the client. To maintain the privacy and integrity of our clients' information, advanced security encryption methodologies are used and then automated analysis and validation is performed. Clients can have suspect documents sent to their designated employee for final determination or VillageEDOCS' Compliance and Privacy Officer can view suspect documents for analysis and resolution and, when appropriate, begin an investigation into the spam source. The enhancement is optional and can be disabled if the client prefers to receive the spam.
