Recently presented the prestigious imageSource Perfect Image Award for Dealer
of the Year at the 2011 ITEX National Expo & Conference, Flo-Tech grabbed top
honors from industry peers in the channel and the imageSource / ITEX Advisory
Council whose members unanimously confirmed Flo-Tech’s outstanding performance,
achievement and success in providing “best in class” solutions. 

A pioneer and innovator in the Managed Print Services industry, Flo-Tech has
been delivering managed print services solutions since 1992, even before the
term “Managed Print” was defined.  As a pioneer in the managed print services
market, the company partners with their clients to help them achieve a truly
“managed” printing and imaging environment making printer support truly
transparent to their clients – something many organizations are striving to
achieve.  Flo-Tech does this with their unique managed print services programs
and proactive service model that addresses every aspect of managing their
customers’ printers, copiers and MFPs – whether it’s a fleet with 1000’s of
devices or a small network of copiers.  They are experts in determining the best
printing and imaging solutions to address their clients needs, whether those
needs require a small desktop printer or a high end 100+ page per minute device
in a production copy center.  Their clients rely on their knowledge and
expertise and years of experience in implementing the full range of HP and Canon
solutions to deliver the right technology to meet their specific needs.

From the start, printing and imaging has been Flo-Tech’s sole focus.  Even
their early print programs included many of the key components that truly define
what makes a “managed print” solution -  things like proactive service and
support, environmentally responsible disposal of supplies, help desk support,
formalized reporting,  optimization strategies and recommendations.  While Flo-Tech’s
earlier programs may not have been multi-year contracts, their SmartPrint
Support Program™ did include value added services like preventative maintenance
cleanings, comprehensive asset management reporting, toll-free technical
support, help desk training, and supply recycling through their EnVision™ for
the Environment Program – a program that has been around for more than 12
years.  The program focuses on best practices and products for reducing the
environmental impact of their clients’ printing and imaging. 

Innovative, scalable, Managed Print Solutions

A key driver in Flo-Tech’s success has been their ability to scale and
expand their services into a comprehensive managed print services program
branded under their “Integrated Print Management Program™” (IPM™).  Under the
IPM™ program, the company provides support for printers, copiers, MFPs, fax
machines and scanners in a variety of customer environments with varying levels
of complexity, page volumes and number of devices. To provide this level of
support, Flo-Tech has invested in the processes, tools and technologies, and
built an infrastructure that can support a full range of devices and customer
environments. The result is a managed services solution that includes 1) an
in-depth assessment process to give their clients greater visibility into their
current cost structure and workflows; 2) optimization strategies and right
sizing recommendations to improve both operational and cost efficiencies; 3)
their internally developed Alert Management Software™ for automating service
delivery with intelligent, remote monitoring and alert management; 4) a
comprehensive asset management program with electronic discovery software; 5)
extensive analysis and internally developed reporting tools that are the basis
for the quarterly business reviews that are an integral part of their IPM™
program.  The program is also unique in that it can be implemented with or
without new hardware.  In many cases Flo-Tech will take over service and
supplies on a customer’s existing fleet to optimize the client’s existing
infrastructure before considering a technology refresh.  When new hardware is
part of the solution, Flo-Tech has an Equipment Preparation facility to
streamline implementation of devices at their client sites. Devices get shipped
to their equipment prep facility where their technicians can test and configure
devices to customer specifications. 

Flo-Tech’s success has also been driven by their ability to scale their
programs and services to support smaller copier networks and address the needs
of the Small/Medium Business market segment through their Imaging Systems
Division (ISD).  ISD clients benefit from the years of experience and expertise
Flo-Tech has in the printing and imaging industry and the added value of the
service delivery infrastructure that supports a high volume environment with
rapid response times, an extremely high first time fix rate, proactive service
with preventative maintenance and automated meter collections.  Flo-Tech is also
able to provide workflow solutions for these clients to help them streamline
their critical business processes where so much of their day to day operations
are dependent on their printing and imaging resources.

Continued Growth

While Flo-Tech has always been considered a “solutions” provider and managed
print expert, in the last few years they have focused on becoming the Managed
Print experts within specific vertical markets – Legal as an example.  Flo-Tech
now works with hundreds of clients in the legal industry including 34 of the top
100 firms in the country.  They’ve become intimately knowledgeable on how to
best leverage an MPS implementation in a legal client environment dealing with
volume requirements, confidentiality requirements, streamlining workflows &
connecting with back end document management systems and dealing with the
cultural nuisances that demand local printers, in most cases, are there to
stay.  They help their legal clients maximize the benefits of an MPS
implementation to drive down costs, streamline support, improve productivity and
support their green initiatives with their EnVision™ for the Environment
program.  Many of their legal clients take advantage of their Coast to Coast™
program to support branch offices across the country. This gives them a single
service provider responsible for managing service delivery, service response,
billing and customer satisfaction across their entire organization. It also
allows them to leverage many of Flo-Tech’s tools, like their Alert Management
Software™, to manage their entire network – fleetwide; nationwide from a central
location. Flo-Tech has taken the same approach in developing expertise and
establishing a strong market presence and reputation as a go to partner in
several other key verticals including healthcare, pharmaceuticals and biotech,
financial services and education.

Flo-Tech is also expanding their expertise to include Document
Management/workflow solutions.  They currently partner with eCopy/Nuance and
Omtool for document capture and routing solutions and also work with many other
3rd party software providers to address the unique needs of specific vertical
market segments.  Their focus now is on further developing in-house expertise on
implementing and supporting these solutions as they have become such an integral
part of so many business processes within their client organizations.  In being
able to support to these applications, Flo-Tech is able to provide a higher
level of value to their clients and gain even greater insights into their
business needs.  As part of their assessment process, they even conduct end user
interviews to identify printing and imaging needs based on application
requirements.  Flo-Tech is also looking at business processes and workflows to
see where they can streamline the flow of documents and help drive productivity
improvements. These assessments are conducted by their Solutions Architects in
conjunction with their sales force of Document Solutions Managers who are all
CDIA+ certified. 


Flo-Tech has been recognized by HP as an HP Elite Office Printing Solutions
Partner, one of only 100 HP partners to earn this distinction and they have also
had the opportunity to serve on HP’s Advisory Board. Flo-Tech is also an HP
Premier Authorized Service Provider putting Flo-Tech in the top 10% of all HP
service partners.  Flo-Tech’s service team has been recognized for their
outstanding service performance with the HP Performance Excellence Award for
Premier Service and Support, HP Quality Award for Service Excellence and the HP
Partner Recognition Award.  Flo-Tech is also a Canon Authorized Dealer and
Service Provider and as an independent dealer, covers one of their largest
geographies.  In fact, Flo-Tech was recently selected as one of Canon’s top 30
dealers in the United States to attend their 2010 recognition event for the
independent dealer channel.  Flo-Tech was selected for this event based on their
outstanding performance in 2010 and achieving well over 234% of their year over
year objectives. Flo-Tech is also a Canon Gold Level Advantage Program Partner. 
They also have relationships with other industry leading companies including
Xerox, Lexmark and Dell. 

In addition to being the recipient of imageSource’s 2011 Perfect Image Award
for Dealer of the Year, Flo-Tech is also a six time recipient of the Elite
Dealer Award, two time recipient of the Business Champions Award for fastest
growing private companies, and has been named a Waste Wise Partner through the
Environmental Protection Agency. 

On the most recent award received, Bonetti says, “It was really quite an
