Kansas City, MO (July 2010) — On Aug. 11-12 in Chicago, the Business Technology
Association (BTA) will host ProFinance, a one-and-a-half-day educational course
for office technology dealers. The course is taught by John Hey and John Hanson
of Strategic Business Associates.
It can be lonely being an independent company in
a very competitive industry. You don’t know what “good” looks like in your
industry. As a result, many of your strategic decisions are made in a vacuum or
by intuition. It is easy to be intimidated by the large public firms in the
industry because of their size and perceived ability to purchase product at a
lower price. The reality is that this is a perfect time to be an independent
company in a rapidly changing industry.
ProFinance’s instructors will teach attendees
the financial terms and relationships that helped them make the decisions that
built DC Hey from a $5 million to a $150 million IKON-acquired enterprise. In
addition to helping attendees implement “The Model” in their companies, they
will help them understand the strategies required to become more client and
employee focused — key strategies toward successfully growing their companies,
improving profitability and winning against the competition.
ProFinance is designed for owners and
executive-level staff who make the critical business decisions that impact a
company's success. ProFinance is one of BTA’s longest-running
courses and has received many positive reviews through the years. Among the
comments from recent attendees:
§ “This class is by far the most
meaningful training I have had to give the tools to measure the company and
steer us toward future growth and sustainability. Great job! Thank you!” — Julie
Warner, Digital Copy Systems, Peoria, Ill.
§ “Wow, these guys over-delivered! I
came expecting a financial review or process. I got an extreme makeover of ideas
about our business! John and John put a great package together. I came to better
understand the model, but got so many management and implementation tips that I
feel will be able to take our company to the next level. I will strongly
recommend any owner I meet to attend this seminar and look forward to my next
meeting with John and John.” — Wayne Cernie, BSA Business Solutions, Phoenix,
Ariz.
§ “Over the last two to three
years, we have implemented these ideas and model and it has clearly changed and
driven our business to a solid and more optimistic phase. We had the best
interests of our clients and employees, but needed a road map to effectively
negotiate our future.” — Dawn Abbhul, Repeat Business Systems, Albany, N.Y.
